My husband is a gourmet foodie. This means that he loves the entire food experience. He loves to plan for, buy for, find great deals for and make food for both dinner parties and every day occasions. Sometimes, his love for food is so strong that, before we even have a bite of dinner, he will reach out to me and say “does he know what tomorrow’s having?” He smiled big and had a twinkle in both his eyes. You need to plan and prepare for an event where food will be a big part. Everything must be perfect. You want everything to look great and to make your mouth water as you enjoy the food. If the food is prepared in the right quantities and given at the right time, it should make the event go smoothly. It is not difficult. What is the point? It’s for the love of food and the bond they make.
The same applies to food preparation in your journey towards a healthier and fitter life. You are determined to change your body and mind. You will do your best to make this process as smooth as possible. You can make sure that your meals are prepared ahead of time. Planning is essential to reduce waste, make the food tasty, and meet your goals for a healthier lifestyle.
You don’t have to eat a lot of food each day. Preparing your food on the weekends can help you keep track of what you eat throughout the week. Depending on whether or not I am doing weight training, I usually eat five to six meals per days. Most of my food purchases are whole foods, not prepackaged. I have developed a system that works and will share it with you. You may find that your food prep is different as you go about your fitness and health goals. This is normal because everyone has different tastes. My goal is to give you some ideas about how food prep could look and then let you decide what you want.
